Joyful Relationships: The Art of Compassionate Communication

Class: Repeats in Spring | Registration opens Monday, January 5, 2026 9:30 AM MST

We all want joyful relationships. Sadly, many of our habitual patterns of communication lead not to deeper connection, but to disconnection. Compassionate communication skills allow us to create and maintain deep, meaningful, and yes, joyful relationships. We also learn how to repair the damage when we inevitably forget our skills and fall back on old habits, how to express our gratitude from the heart, and how to handle our anger and other difficult emotions in ways that preserve connection.

While not required, it is strongly recommended that students purchase Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, by Marshall Rosenberg, third edition. It costs about $12.

NO CLASS on Jan. 27 (Utah Tech Make-Up Day)
NO CLASS on March 10 (Spring Break)
