Everybody relates to music in one way or another. What is it about music that captures our feelings, brings us together, and provides a soundtrack for our lives? Let's take a musical journey together exploring the music and artists between the years of 1950 and 1975 in "50 Years of Music - Part 1." Class topics will include: The music, artists & bands that defined this era plus the fads, causes and events that are tied to them. We'll talk about Famous DJ's, song dedications, Beatlemania and the birth of Rock & Roll. We'll remember music in the movies, on the Broadway stage, and on TV. And don't forget specialty dances, one hit wonders, and songs tied to special events. (Stay tuned for 50 Years of Music - Part 2 (1976 - 2000), coming this Fall!)

John (Norm) Watkins
John (Norm) Watkins is a music enthusiast and long-time disc jockey. For 25 plus years, he found a side-hustle that he loved as a Mobile DJ. Norm provided music to upwards of 1000 events including corporate events, weddings, anniversaries, school events, awards ceremonies, dances, pageants, parties of all kinds, bar mitzvahs and even a funeral!
