Birding is one of the fastest growing avocations in the United States and birds are one of our best indicators of environmental health. Come learn why birds are so important to us scientifically, ecologically, economically, culturally, aesthetically and psychologically. Join a group in the field to become acquainted with the local fauna and birds, and those that are migrating through the area. (This is a 6-week course with optional field trips.)

Marshall Topham
Marshall Topham is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast. He holds a B.S. degree in Zoology with minors in Botany and Chemistry and an M.S. in biology from the University of Hawaii, as well as an M.S.in Public Administration from USU. An educator for 40 years, Marshall has served on numerous boards and committees for federal, state, and local entities. He teaches Environmental Science at Utah Tech University.
