Social Responsibility - Complexity of Self-image and Behavior
Class: Repeats in Spring | Available (Membership Required)
This course examines the complexity and incongruity of human self-image and behavior, looking at how we believe we are a compassionate person but act otherwise, and justify our behavior. We will explore the physiology of how the mind works; our five basic needs shaping our behavior; social structures that ingrain conscious and unconscious gaps between self-image and actions; far-reaching implications of our predictable behavior; and, how to recognize triggers that make us react rather than act.
NO CLASS ON NOV. 28th.
