You can use maps to explore, navigate, hike, find photos, and sightsee. This 5-week course surveys what can be done with maps and provides references on how to do it.

1) Academics: history - real time GPS locations - geographic coordinates

2) Exploring: Google Earth - 3D aerial photos - virtual tours - time travel - hidden gems - embedding photos

3) Driving: Apple Maps - Google Maps - traffic - routes - augmented reality

4) Hiking: Gaia GPS - AllTrails - previews - tracks - crowdsource and environmental information

5) Self-Guided Tours: Avenza Maps - Parus Trail, Zion National Park - Snow Canyon State Park
