Iconic Art Masterpieces

Class Continues: Spring | Available (Membership Required)

Online Course Description: In this 6-week course, we will explore what has made certain works of art iconic: the Mona Lisa (Leonardo DiVinci), Garden at Giverny (Claude Monet), Girl Before a Mirror (Pablo Picasso), Starry Night (Vincent Van Gogh), and Luncheon of the Boating Party (Pierre-Auguste Renoir), among others.

- In addition to the work itself, we will learn about the artist and the (often tumultuous) times during which the painting was created.

-By exploring the above, you will enjoy art - from street festivals to major museums - and identify what that makes one work of art better than others. It is not all subjective!

NO CLASS ON OCT. 9th.
