Digital Photography

This 8-week course will provide classroom instruction on basic photography principles, including how to get the best results from cell-phone cameras. Regular assignments will include specific projects such as portraits, still-lifes, landscapes, and nighttime photography. Students at any level of experience are welcome.

D.L. Ashliman has a B.A., University of Utah; M.A., Ph.D., Rutgers University. Post-doctoral studies, University of Göttingen and University of Bonn, Germany; Professor Emeritus, University of Pittsburgh; Guest Professor, University of Augsburg, Germany, 5 semesters. His formal training in photography includes a Certificate in Digital Photography from Cornell University.
