BrainWorks: A Toolbox for the Mind

Class: Repeats in Spring | Available (Membership Required)

BrainWorks is a 5-week interactive workshop that introduces a journalistic version of neural plasticity--the fact that we grow brain, and direct and architect that brain growth through our whole life. The BrainWorks Toolbox provides basic tools to direct the brain for most any outcome. What do you want to do? Slow and Reverse Aging; Improve Memory, Focus and Concentration; Create Wellness; Recover from Stroke, TBI, Cancer; Improve Communication and Relationships; or Find Common Ground? Pick a personal focus!

There is a $10 non-refundable fee for the BrainWorks workbook.

Class meets twice a week on October 21, 23, 28, 30, and November 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20.

Jill Wilks

After 35 years teaching and writing neural plasticity at Southern Utah University, Jill retired early to allow travel time to present her book, Your Expanding Intelligence, to leaders in medicine, mental health, education and government. But instead, she was a passenger in a high-speed accident and spent 13 years using neural plasticity and the BrainWorks Toolbox to recover from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The course that Jill designed and implemented at SUU included new students, faculty, and staff from across campus. When student success rates soared, the administration made the course required for graduation and faculty/staff training. Jill is now back from the TBI, recovering from recovery and rewriting BrainWorks for the unlimited applications of plasticity beyond school, work and wellness.
