This 8-week course will cover Beginner Genealogy, including the basics of DNA and AI.

No class on 9/25 and 10/9.

This course is now being held on the UT campus in Hazy 121.

John Harrison

John Harrison has extensive postgraduate studies in the use of DNA for family history research and adoptions and assisted 21 individuals find their biological families. John Harrison is a genetic genealogist and Family Historian (Seannachie). He also teaches Genetic Genealogy and Family History at Utah Tech University, Institute for Continued Learning (ICL), and Southern Utah University STEM class. He is also an emeritus Toastmaster, Storyteller and member of the Utah Storyteller’s Guild, and President of the St. George Dixie Teller Chapter. John is also a member of the Utah Scottish Association, Scottish Genealogy Society, Edinburgh, Scotland, and DNA/Surname Project Coordinator for Clan MacTavish of Dunardry, Argyll, Scotland. John is also a regular columnist for Clan MacTavish, and authors articles covering ancestral research and DNA, which appear quarterly in the clan’s newsletter, the "Non Oblitus.”
