Unique Biodiversity of Washington County
Class: Repeats in Spring | Registration opens Friday, January 3, 2025 9:30 AM MST
This course will address the importance of biodiversity globally but will focus on the unique biodiversity of Washington County where there are over 100 species of plants and animals that are found nowhere else in the state. This extraordinary biodiversity is the result of several factors working together. (5 lectures and 2-3 field trips)

Marshall Topham
Marshall is a lifelong bird enthusiast. He holds a B.S. degree in Zoology with minors in Botany and Chemistry and a M.S. in Public Administration. He taught Advance Placement Biology in public schools for 40 years. He has served on numerous boards and committees for federal, state and local entities. He teaches Environmental Science at Utah Tech University and provides instructional, birding field trips several times each semester.
