Living Religion: Faith & Practice in the Modern World
Class Continues: Spring | Registration opens Friday, January 3, 2025 9:30 AM MST
This course explores how we develop meaning and purpose in our lives through the intersection of religion, faith and science. Last Fall, we explored how major religions in St. George informed the everyday lives of various invited speakers. This semester, we dive deep into just the dominant western religion, Christianity. The beliefs and traditions of various dominations might appear paradoxical, but understanding their nuances with the help of more guest presenters can uncover inconsistencies in our own beliefs and attitudes toward those with different convictions.
