Okay, all you budding Marcus Welbys... you're invited to attend ICL’s Mini-Med School! Just show up and the only requirement is you wear clothes!

ICL membership is not required and although there is no registration required, you will want to register here to receive email announcements and updates regarding the lectures.

So, just arrive fully clothed at the Utah Tech campus - Browning building in the Dunford Auditorium! Bring a friend or two or bring a neighbor (even if you must force him or her). It’s free to them as well and they will thank you.

Here is our outstanding curriculum.

Feb. 12, 2025, 6:00pm – Cancer – recent advances in chemotherapy - Dr. Terrence Rhodes

Feb. 19, 2025, 6:00pm – Cardiovascular accidents – strokes and/or heart attacks - TBA

Feb. 26, 2025, 6:00pm – Advances in total joint replacements - Dr. Robert Jamieson

March 5, 2025, 6:00pm – Staying healthy – let’s talk about what you need to know - Dr. Gina Marie Foglia


All lectures will be held from 6-7pm in Dunford Auditorium in the Browning building and are free and open to the public.

Wendy King

Wendy has a career as an executive working with educational institutions, serving as Chief Financial Officer, Senior Associate Dean, Director of Development, and President of her consulting company. She is a published non-fiction author and public speaker, educating the community on project planning and management. In addition to serving on the ICL Council, she has volunteered for Rocky Mountain PBS and the National Respiratory Orchestra based in Colorado.

Wendy has her Master’s in Health Care Administration from George Washington University and her B.A. for the University of California at Santa Cruz.

In addition to her volunteer activity in Saint George she participates in the Huntsman Senior Games as a power walker, enjoys art and is trying to complete her first novel. Being a grandmother to three great kids also keeps her busy!

Warren Stucki

Warren Stucki, MD, graduated from the University of Utah Medical School with Honors in Surgery. After graduation, he interned at the University of Iowa, then completed a 4-year residency at Texas A&M University, culminating in Board Certified. Not only did bring (pioneer) urology to Southern Utah, he practiced in St. George for 37 years. During that time, he served as Chief of Surgery, Chief of Staff and as a member of the Hospital Governing Board at Dixie Regional Medical Center. Also, he has co-authored one research paper, Polycystic Kidneys in Children.

In his spare time, Dr. Stucki pens novels and short stories. To date, he has ten published novels and three short stories. Spring semester, he teaches a novel writing class.
