How to create a set and have the opportunity to practice in front of students in your class and eventually to do it on a stage. Some of our past students are now performing and loving it!
The purpose of this class is to promote clean comedy. Eva Fry grew up in a time when clean comedy was what made everyone happy. Comedians like Bob Hope and George Burns brought many happy hours to families back then. Eva believes we need to bring that kind of comedy back in our times. So many young people think that vulgar comedy is what is necessary these days. But it's not!
No class on March 11 (Spring Break)
Laura DePalma
Surrounded by mafioso's and assorted law breakers, Lieto chose laughs over criminality and jokes instead of bullets. She took a crazy, unimagined, unbelievable life of adventure and mayhem and turned it into a true, albeit slightly exaggerated, stand-up routine.
Eva Fry
Eva Fry has taught for a few years at ICL, teaching How to Fully Life Your Life, and How to Fully Live Your Retirement Years. She also does Stand Up Comedy and most recently won the St. George's Got Talent the Electric Comedy at the Electric Theater. Eva only does Clean Comedy and wants to promote that. To quote Eva, "I have discovered what a blessing it is in my life and have talked to several people who have wanted to try stand-up comedy in their life too. It helps people overcome their fear of being in front of people and it makes life more fun by developing your sense of humor. It also is a great blessing for helping to build our memories."
