JOHN CARUSO has recently relocated out of the NYC-Metro area into Galloway, where he has played semi-professionally for 30 years.  Mr Caruso is an experienced music educator who began studying music at the age of 8. He is a firm believer in the role music has in creating a well-rounded life, and he brings a lifetime of enthusiasm and training to his students at all ages and levels.  Mr Caruso focuses on a whole-student approach to music education that builds a strong foundation based on technique and encourages individual expression through song selection and focus of repertoire.For younger children, Mr Caruso centers his instruction on building a love of the piano through music appreciation, reading and interpreting a two-handed score, and developing the manual dexterity needed for advancement.  Mr Caruso builds a young student’s confidence through knowledge and practice.
For more mature students, and adults of all ages, Mr Caruso’s whole-student approach builds goals for each student based on their individual artistic and technical strengths.  Mr Caruso will create a practice plan that becomes a foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment as a musical amateur, or as a springboard to more formal pursuits.
