Drawing I (Tue)

PD-Class | Registration opens Monday, November 9, 2026 10:00 AM EST

Develop observational skills for drawing a three-dimensional form onto a two-dimensional surface with correct proportions using still life setups. Shading and tone give the object volume. Perspective changes size, shape, and position based on distance. Visual depth will be achieved through overlapping and sizing to scale.

  • Materials: soft vine charcoal, drawing pencils (HB, 2B), kneaded eraser, blending stump, drawing pad (18x24”, suitable for pencil and charcoal, Strathmore 400 Series), hairspray or workable fixative.
