Bring 3 to 4 of your bisque pieces (no larger than 12inches) to this workshop as Artist Jesus Minguez shares his unique use of raw materials in combination with the art of American Raku firing. The suggested clay body is EM712 Max’s White Raku Clay. (Available at Axner Pottery Supply)

Minguez, Jesus

Jesus Minguez

Raised in the Philippines, Jesus Minguez is now an Orlando-based professional painter and potter, and an expert wheel thrower. He has worked as a painter and freelance illustrator for more than 12 years and has worked with clay for nearly 20 years. Minguez received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Central Florida with a specialization in ceramics. He has taught students of different levels in the Central Florida community, providing private lessons and also as a high school teacher for Orange County Public Schools. Minguez is inspired by his early childhood memories of traditional folk art owned by his grandparents, and by the works of notable Japanese Shigaraki and Bizen potters.

Crealdé does not accept deposits or partial payments for registrations. Early registration for classes or workshops are encouraged. Students using a gift certificate or account credit are to register in person or over the phone (407-671-1886).

Crealdé's refund and withdraw policies:
In order to maintain the quality of our programs, we have set a minimum number of students for our classes. Therefore, the following policies have been put in place for refunds, transfers, and withdraws.

Classes - A transfer or withdrawal request for a refund, transfer or account credit must be requested 7 days prior to the first day of the session by contacting the main office. Please contact us by telephone at 407-671-1886 or e-mail at lmcbryde@crealde.org during normal business hours. Any requests made 7 days or less before the first day of the session are not eligible for credit or a refund.

Class credits expire after one year.

These policies apply regardless of attendance status.

Workshops - All workshops registration deadlines are at least one week prior to the workshop date*. *Registration deadlines for visiting artists workshops will vary. Please see workshops description for registration deadlines. If withdraw is made prior to registration deadline, student is eligible for a full refund. No refunds or credits will be made after the workshop registration deadline.

ArtCamp is non-refundable upon registration. No refunds or credits will be processed after registration.
