Byron, Patricia

Known by her students as an empowering instructor, Patricia Isabella Byron is an abstract painter and poet who is heavily inspired by her years living in Turkey and Iran.  She was compelled to paint and write about the natural beauty and historical sites she encountered, studying at the School of Persian Language & Culture of the University of Tehran, Iran.  She continued her studies at Crealdé School of Art as a Fellowship Artist and Studio Artist.  In 2006, she joined the faculty, teaching both adults and youth in tuition-based and free out-reach classes and festival workshops, including at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.  In 2021 she was promoted to the Crealdé's Painting & Drawing Program and Studio Manager position.  Byron actively exhibits her work, maintains a FAVO gallery presence, and recently had a solo exhibition at the Mills Gallery in Orlando.

Baker, John

As a faculty member in the Photography Program, John Baker shares his love and knowledge of film photography in both youth and adult classes, guiding artists young and old in the processes of creating traditional black and white images from capture to print.  A consummate exhibitor in and supporter of the Central Florida art scene and recipient of many best-in-show awards, Baker holds two B.A. degrees in Arts and Sciences from the University of Central Florida.  He has served at Crealdé School of Art in varying capacities for two decades, and has a studio at FAVO in Orlando.

Chastain, Jenna

Jenna Chastain was born and raised in Central Florida. She found her zeal for the ceramic arts while attending Boone High School, located in the heart of downtown Orlando. Chastain continued her studies at the University of Central Florida, where she achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Ceramics. While at UCF, Chastain was the president of the UCF Potters Guild Organization. During her leadership, she arranged trips for the Guild to travel to the Pittsburg NCECA Conference; the International Wood-Fire Symposium at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana; and established UCF’s first-ever Empty Bowls Orlando fundraising event. After graduating in the Spring of 2019, she spent the following summer at Arrowmont School of Art as a work study, located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Chastain‘s artwork has been featured in the City Art’s Young Adults Gallery in downtown Orlando, the Orlando Museum of Art’s Monthly Artist Gallery Exhibit, and the Denver School of Art’s Annual Delectable Exhibition, an exclusive show featuring ceramic tableware.

Rodgers, Fontaine

Fontaine Rodgers attended the Maryland Institute, College of Art and the California College of Art (cum laude). Her personal art has always reflected her love of nature, landscapes, flora and fauna, especially birds and horses. She delights in printmaking, creating linocuts and woodblocks that are often amusing or whimsical. Her passion has always been drawing, which is the foundation for all her art. Her art can found at several Florida galleries and in private and public collections here and abroad. Rogers joined the Crealdé faculty in 2022.
