Fucheck, Brittney

Brittney is an interdisciplinary artist whose work takes inspiration from both her personal understanding of presentness and the macabre beauty of the native wildlife. She moved to Orlando in 2014 and received a bachelors in fine arts with a focus in illustration at the University of Central Florida. She is currently seeking a graduate degree at the same university. She primarily makes painting, printmaking, and objects out of found materials, her current body of art. Her practice of foraging and hiking allows her to highlight the urgency for appreciation and purpose. Art background: BFA in art and design with a concentration in illustration at the University of Central Florida. Currently a 2nd year MFA Student at the same university. First taught arts and crafts at PEAR programs in South Florida. After moving, she illustrated for 2Squared Comics on their debut comic book: Tribe and freelanced for a variety of local companies and projects. The current thing that she is working on is her very own independent comic. Teaching experience: TA'd for Professor Walter Gaudnek at the University of Central Florida in his Painting 1 and 2 class. Has given lessons to kids aged 4-8 years old during her time at PEAR. Additional experience: President of The Print Collective at UCF. An organization dedicated to helping students learn the social and business aspect of selling their traditional artworks.
