Now that you’re comfortable with centering, let’s tickle the imagination and create bowls, cups, and vases. This course covers beginner to advanced levels of wheel throwing, altering and glazing.
Senior Faculty | Ceramics Born in Moscow, Vadim Malkin is a third-generation artist, and the first in his family to dedicate himself to the medium of ceramics. Having been raised around such great creativity, Malkin found he was drawn to art from a very early age and has been actively pursuing it since. After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Ceramics in 2004 from the University of Central Florida, Malkin joined the Ceramics faculty at Crealdé School of Art. He also teaches high school ceramic classes for Seminole County Public Schools. Malkin is the host of the popular monthly Date Night Ceramics workshop. Since 2011, Malkin has served as the Visual Fringe Producer, organizing the visual art exhibition at the annual Orlando International Fringe Theater Festival. His work has been on display in numerous galleries, shops, shows and art festivals throughout Florida, Georgia, California and in several countries throughout the world.

Crealdé does not accept deposits or partial payments for registrations. Early registration for classes or workshops are encouraged. Students using a gift certificate or account credit are to register in person or over the phone (407-671-1886). Crealdé's refund and withdraw policies: In order to maintain the quality of our programs, we have set a minimum number of students for our classes. Therefore, the following policies have been put in place for refunds, transfers, and withdraws.
Classes - A transfer or withdrawal request for a refund, transfer or account credit must be requested 7 days prior to the first day of the session by contacting the main office. Please contact us by telephone at 407-671-1886 or e-mail at lmcbryde@crealde.org during normal business hours. Any requests made 7 days or less before the first day of the session are not eligible for credit or a refund. 2024 Transfer or Withdrawal Request for Credit or Refund DeadlinesSpring 2024 April 8, 2024 Summer 2024 June 10, 2024 Fall I 2024 August 12, 2024 Fall II 2024 October 14, 2024 Class credits expire after one year. These policies apply regardless of attendance status. Workshops - All workshops registration deadlines are at least one week prior to the workshop date*. *Registration deadlines for visiting artists workshops will vary. Please see workshops description for registration deadlines. If withdraw is made prior to registration deadline, student is eligible for a full refund. No refunds or credits will be made after the workshop registration deadline. ArtCamp is non-refundable upon registration. No refunds or credits will be processed after registration.
