An introduction to a variety of techniques in the creation of wax sculptures. Once the wax sculptures are made, students prepare their waxes with gates and sprues in preparation for the ceramic mold-making process. Waxes are coated with state-of-the-art ceramic shell and then the wax will be burned out and the molten bronze poured into the molds. Cost includes a five-pound bronze sculpture, with the option to purchase additional material for large works.
