Ready to elevate your art and impress college admissions? Sign up for our dynamic two-week College Art Portfolio Workshop led by artist and instructor Wes Sherman. Wes, a seasoned adjunct professor, shares insider tips on what art schools are looking for. You’ll get practical advice for building a portfolio that’s cohesive, technically strong, and true to your personal vision.
Week One: Dive into portfolio development! Learn how to thoughtfully select and organize your artwork to highlight your skills, creativity, and unique artistic voice.
Week Two: Benefit from personalized portfolio critiques. Wes Sherman will give you tailored feedback to help you strengthen your presentation and make your work shine.
This workshop is ideal for anyone preparing for college-level art programs or seeking to present their work professionally. This course is designed for students ages 16 and up—whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll get expert support to create and refine an outstanding portfolio. All levels are welcome!

- Students should bring their current portfolio of artwork to class for feedback discussion.
Wes Sherman
Artist Wes Sherman has been painting since 1992 and has been included in hundreds of exhibitions across the county and Europe.. He received his MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2003. Sherman has been a visiting artist at many universities and the recipient of a fellowship for painting from New Jersey Council of the Arts. For the past 15 years Sherman has focused on landscape painting, in particular en plein air painting.
He is the chair of exhibitions at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, New Jersey.
