Students will explore a variety of techniques and concepts in ceramic sculpture, including reductive carving, relief carving, coil building, and slab building. We’ll work with both representational subjects—such as the figure and the natural world—and abstract approaches that encourage personal expression. Throughout the class, students will have the opportunity to experiment with different finishing methods, including oxidation and reduction firing, as well as cold finishing techniques, giving each piece its own unique character. This is a hands-on, creative environment where exploration and individual artistic growth are encouraged.

Tuition is all-inclusive and covers the cost of class instruction, use of all studio equipment, glazes, and the firing of your in-class creations. Clay purchases and tools are not included.
