Get ready for a vibrant, hands-on art adventure! In this lively class, young artists will explore their creativity in many ways—on paper, canvas, and even with clay. Students will paint, draw, and blend materials to create exciting two-dimensional artworks, then switch to learning clay handbuilding techniques for impressive three-dimensional pieces. Every project aims to ignite imagination, develop skills, and give kids the joy of turning their ideas into reality!

NOTE: There will be no class on 1/19 and 2/16.

  • To help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, we ask students to review and follow The Center's Policies and Procedures available on our website. Students who cannot comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave class, and refunds will not be issued in these cases.
  • Materials are included.
Davo, Peggy
Peggy Davo

Peggy Davo is native of Morris County and has taught art locally since she earned a NJ Certificate and BA in Fine Arts Education (K-12) from Montclair University. She has also earned an AS in Jewelry Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

She creates pottery out of her home studio in Morristown and is a member of the PottersGuild of NJ, which also provides opportunities to show her work.

She is a long-time docent, studying and giving tours, at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms in Morris Plains. This has heightened her awareness of the Arts and Crafts Movement and has much influence on her aesthetic.

In teaching, she encourages her students to practice and experiment, to get comfortable with their tools and ideas. Aiding her students to become confident and proficient in expressing their skills, individuality and creativity. While also developing an appreciation for art history and nature along with the Elements and Principals of Design.

Peggy also enjoys spending time at Seaton Hackney Stables, practicing and strengthening her riding skills and understanding of the horses.
