3-C Abstract Self-Portrait

In Person | Available

Students will learn how to abstract their own face with concepts of portraiture and abstraction. The students will break down shapes and different colors to create new forms. Structures of the face will become abstract through dismantling recognizable features into abstractions. Students will use paint and mixed media, including markers, colored pencils and canvas to create an expression of self. We will cover famous artists that have worked in abstract portraiture such as Pablo Picasso, Willem de Kooning, Elaine de Kooning, Paul Klee, and Vincent Van Gogh.

Full-day campers (those registered for a morning and afternoon camp) will have a supervised lunch period from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at no extra charge.

  • **Sibling Discount** If you are registering more than one child for the same week of camp, please call the office at 908-234-2345 to learn how to receive $20 off each additional child.
