1-C Mixed Media 3D Sculptures

Students will assemble a 3-D painted sculpture for wall hanging purposes or masks. The sculpture will allow students to build freely an animal of their liking. Giving the students the opportunity to explore three-dimensional ways of creating through building layers with cardboard. Students will learn the fundamentals of design including emphasis, unity, rhythm, variety, movement, proportion, and scale. Principles building will be taught to create an interesting composition.
Materials will include cardboard mod podge, feathers, paint markers, tape scissors and acrylic paint.
Full-day campers (those registered for a morning and afternoon camp) will have a supervised lunch period from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at no extra charge.

Health & Safety Policy: The Center has updated its Health and Safety Policies and Procedures. COVID-19 vaccinations are suggested but not required. Mask wearing is welcome but not required.
In the event of a closure due to the COVID-19 virus, this class will move online using ZOOM. There will be no refunds or credits for classes that were scheduled to take place on-site but were moved to an online format for health and safety purposes.
Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given to students who cancel at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the Summer Camp Session, less a $50 cancellation fee, per registration. No refunds will be given for cancellations received with less than 3 weeks notice before the start of the Summer Camp Session.
Behavior Policy: The Center reserves the right to dismiss any student for inappropriate behavior or failure to comply with The Center’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures. Graduated from Raritan Valley Community College with an associates in Fine and Visual Arts. Freelance artist painter and ceramicist. Intern at the Center for Contemporary Art currently. Murals up for view in Somerville and Bound Brook. Works in exhibitions in Flemington and Bedminster and live painting performances in Easton PA. Art style ranging from abstract expressionism, with automatic and intuitive designs.
