Art from your Start has a unique methodology in teaching Art. The student upon the advice of the teacher is requested to bring several examples of pictures they might want to paint. The Instructor will make the decision based on the experience of the student  which picture to choose from. As the student is taught technique, the instructor will have the student explore their own creativity. Every student works on their own project. There is no competition, as this is a completely judgement free zone. The student is encouraged to explore their own creativity. Unlike other studio classes which make each student paint the same still life or portrait, everyone's work is a unique individual expression of creativity. This is a very supportive and creative environment and relaxation is encouraged.

The instructor  Barbara Guerriero-Flites is a New Jersey Certified Art teacher who has 30 years experience teaching Art in both a public school and in a studio environment. She has a MA in Art Education, a BA in Art History and a BA in Social Work.

NOTE: This is the in-person component of a hybrid class. There will be students connecting to the class virtually concurrently with those attending the in-person class.
