Understand the power of pastels! In this class students will learn how to work with several pastels, surfaces and techniques. A range of subject matter will be addressed such as still life, landscape, animals, and more.

Note: There is no class on 4/9.

  • All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center's website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Policies and Procedures.

  • The more pastels the better!

    A great starter set is Prismacolor Nupastels. The minimum set recommended is 36 count.

  • Surfaces are important for pastels. Pastelmat by Clairfontaine is recommended. (A variety pack in several colors in 9 x 12 size is
  • encouraged)


  • Other great pastel brands that are optional: Unison, Terry Ludwig, Sennelier.
