205-Combining Mediums

This class will delve into the individual techniques used to master watercolor, ink, and acrylic on their own, as well as the ability to layer and combine them. Students will learn about the order in which certain mediums can be layered while exploring traditional and experimental approaches to painting. These techniques open the door to new opportunities in creating art. Explore the possibilities!
Materials for students to bring to 1st class:
-Set of Pigment Liners (Staedtler or Micron)
-HB Pencil
-Eraser
-Drawing Board
-Sketch Pad
Additional materials for students to bring to later classes:
-Artist Grade Watercolor Paper, 140lb, cold-press or hot-press (Arches recommended)
-Art Panel
-Set of Watercolor Paint (tubes preferable)
-Palette for Watercolor
-Paper Towels
Optional:
-Watercolor Brushes (Round brushes in different sizes)
-Acrylic Sculpting Tools
-Palette Knives
-Clear Ruler
