252-Introduction to Basic Sculpting Techniques-IN PERSON

Adult Workshop | This class is completed

In this workshop, students will be introduced to an exciting multicolor and user friendly clay known as Sculpey. Malleable and clean to the touch, the clay can be used to create detailed sculptures as well as ornamental items such as jewelry and wall hangings.

The instructor will guide students through the multifaceted process of constructing a simple human or imaginary fantasy figure. By mixing, layering and cutting the clay, a virtual rainbow of colorful details will be constructed. They will be used to accessorize the figures in the form of clothing or jewelry. They can also be used to decorate household items such as books, cups, vases, etc. This workshop will focus on showcasing the limitless applications of Sculpey.  Finished items can be safely baked in an home oven at 275 degrees.
