Join The Center for this special behind-the-scenes, lunch-time studio visit with Andrew Werth, whose solo exhibition planned for this spring is now postponed to 2021. Learn about the artist’s process, see his works in progress, and ask any questions in real time.

"I have long been interested in the mind: consciousness, perception, thinking, psychology, and the self. My ongoing study of these and related subjects informs much of my abstract painting. The titles of my paintings are clues to concepts that I find fascinating in the philosophy and science of mind." -- Andrew Werth

Andrew Werth's education has been self-directed, drawing upon a diversity of resources throughout New York City, including the School of Visual Arts, The New School, and the Art Students League. In addition to the arts, he has studied philosophy of mind and cognitive psychology at The New School. Werth's formal degrees are:

1992: Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA), Information Networking Institute, M.S. Information Networking
1991: Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA), Carnegie Institute of Technology, B.S. Computer Engineering
