Under New York’s welfare work rules, nearly all adult Cash Assistance recipients must participate in some form of work-related activity. This training will cover the evaluation of employability, the assessment and assignment processes, the right to supportive services, the right to engage in education and training, and the sanction process.

We will also discuss the impact of recent developments in law, policy, and practice.

Note: Knowledge of Cash Assistance eligibility and application requirements is recommended. SNAP work rules will NOT be covered in this training.
