Helping clients access Medicaid’s spenddown program can be both challenging and problematic. Discover how the spenddown program works and learn who can access the spenddown program. Figure out how to calculate the spenddown amount, as well as when you can use both paid and unpaid medical bills to help your clients meet the spenddown amount. Find out whether your clients can use the pay-in system, how to get hospital services, where to apply, and more. Knowledge of the eligibility criteria for the Medicaid program is required for this training.

Target Audience: Health advocates who are seeking to have a thorough understanding of the spenddown program and learn how to direct clients' to maximize benefit.
