Zen Blossoms: Floral Art on Canvas Bag
In this workshop, participants will explore Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) while creating a beautiful floral design on an 8" × 5" canvas bag.
The session will include some foundational Zentangle® strokes, simple floral like motifs, and ways to combine structured patterns with organic shapes. Using a special Sakura Identi-Pen® for crisp, permanent line work, students build a layered composition that balances pattern, texture, and flow.
Each participant leaves with a functional, unique hand-decorated bag and a set of repeatable techniques they can use in future projects.

Daniel Karakas
I am a retired 20-year Marine Corps Air Traffic Controller who found the most relaxing art form in a Zentangle® class 2 years ago at the CCAA. Attending that class motivated me to recently complete the 2025 Certified Zentangle® Teacher Training in Mystic CN. I appreciate all things art, especially the Impressionism and Post-Impressionism time periods. The artist Vincent Van Gogh’s style especially resonates with me.
Additional Information:- $10 supply fee payable to the instructor on the day of class.
