One-Night Workshop: How to Pull and Attach a Basic Clay Handle
Get hands-on experience in this focused, one-night workshop designed to introduce (or refresh!) the essential skill of pulling and attaching a simple clay handle. Perfect for beginners and intermediate potters alike, this session will guide you through the foundational techniques needed to create clean, confident, functional handles for your pottery.
The workshop begins with a live demonstration, followed by individualized, one-on-one instruction as you learn how to pull a basic handle and attach it to your own pieces. You’ll receive personalized guidance on form, moisture management, attachment, and—most importantly—how keeping your hands clean leads to the best results.
Please come prepared with 3–5 leather-hard pots to practice on, and bring a towel for cleanup and handling.
Join us for a fun, supportive evening of skill-building that will elevate your pottery and boost your confidence at the wheel and the table!
