Zentangle® Basics & Beyond
A nurturing, non-judgmental workshop designed to teach the structured, meditative method of creating art using, simple, repetitive, strokes to produce intricate designs. It focuses on mindfulness rather than technical drawing skills. Students will be immersed in creating actual tiles leaving with a clear understanding that, “Anything is possible one stroke at a time.” ®

- About the Instructor:
Daniel Karakas
I am a retired 20-year Marine Corps Air Traffic Controller who found the most relaxing art form in a Zentangle® class 2 years ago at the CCAA. Attending that class motivated me to recently complete the 2025 Certified Zentangle® Teacher Training in Mystic CN. I appreciate all things art, especially the Impressionism and Post-Impressionism time periods. The artist Vincent Van Gogh’s style especially resonates with me.
