This year, the Chester County Art Association is proud to partner with the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen to host unique fine craft workshops at CCAA, led by Guild teaching artists.

PA Guild- Rug Hooked Spring Meadow

The historic art of traditional hand hooked rugs has been admired since colonial times.  Like many forms of art, hooked rugs were made out of necessity, utilizing scraps and upcycling.

By pulling up one loop at a time you can create a beautiful 8” by 8” heirloom textile.  This class is for the adventurous beginner.

The additional cost of the materials kit is $70.00 which contains a pattern drawn on linen, a rug hooking frame, a hook, binding to finish off the back and hand dyed cut wool.

In class you will learn everything you need to know to complete the pattern at home.
