This year, the Chester County Art Association is proud to partner with the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen to host unique fine craft workshops at CCAA, led by Guild teaching artists.
Spring Songbird Mosaic
Let’s get ready for spring by creating your own one-of-a-kind mosaic songbird! In this fun and relaxing class, students will nip colorful glass pieces and place them on a bird shape for a custom mosaic piece. Students will be introduced to how to use a hand tool (wheeled nippers), cut various pieces, and glue them into place. You will go home with a 6” birdie ready to hang!

Class length: 1 Class, 2.5 hours Total
Class tuition: $90 per student
*Additional Materials Fee- $20. per student is due to the instructor at the start of class.

Instructor Artist Bio- Aya Kinoshita:
Aya Kinoshita is a mosaic artist living in Lancaster, PA. She is originally from Tokyo, Japan. She has enjoyed working with visual and performing artists and also researching and teaching about art management and cultural anthropology. Since 2016, she has been making mosaics and made multiple mosaic murals for Penn State Medical Centers in and around Lancaster.
