Travel Journal Workshop
Join me for a creative adventure where you'll learn to transform your travel memories into beautiful, personal journals. In this fun and engaging workshop, we’ll use your own travel photos as inspiration while exploring drawing, painting, and writing techniques. You’ll leave with the skills to document your journeys in a way that’s meaningful and uniquely yours.
- Meet your Teaching Artist Diane Lemonides
BIO:
Diane Lemonides was born in Brooklyn NY in 1960 and was raised on Long Island. She spent summers taking classes at the Art Students League in NYC. Diane then attended and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in painting, with a focus on illustration. Upon graduation in 1983, she moved to Melbourne Australia, where she lived and worked as a painter and graphic designer in magazine publishing for three years. She returned to live and work in NYC, where she was the art director for many magazines and book publishing companies. Diane launched her company, Verve Marketing & Design, recipient of local, national and global awards. Diane has retired after 37 years to pursue her creative passions. She is a passionate environmentalist, cyclist, traveler, and lover of the natural world, from which she draws her creative inspiration. She resides in Glen Mills PA. with her husband Keith. She continues to explore her creative voice.
Supply list:
- Photos of a trip or adventure you want to capture. (bring printed or digital images with you)
- Thin black sharpie
- Pencils
- Travel watercolors- some come with a brush
- Brushes or Aqua wash brushes
- a Journal- Watercolor travel journal. *Select a size that feels comfortable for you to travel with. I use the “Canson Montval Field Watercolor book", 5.5" x 8.8"
