MonoPRINT Mania: Print, Play, Repeat!

A Creative Gel Plate Workshop

Unleash your creativity in this hands-on, 3-hour workshop designed for anyone ages 16 and up—no experience necessary!

Gel plate printing is a playful and accessible form of monoprinting where every piece becomes a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Together we’ll dive into the magic of layering, texture, and color, exploring techniques such as:

  • Stencil printing
  • Ghost Printing
  • Found object printing
  • Back painting
  • Design layering
  • Image transfers using fashion magazines (learn the secret trick!)

Heather will show you the basics of each technique, then set you free to go wild, think outside the box, and have fun creating your own unique prints.

  • A colorful selection of shared paints to experiment with

    • About the Artist

      Heather Carey is a West Chester native with a Fine Arts degree and over 25 years of experience as an art therapist. She has worked with adults with physical and mental disabilities, witnessing firsthand the power of art to heal, uplift, and inspire. Heather now brings that same passion to her workshops, welcoming artists of all levels to rediscover the joy of creating.

    • *A $10 Materials fee is payable directly to the Teaching Artist at the start of the workshop.

      *What to Bring (Optional):

      • Bristol paper pad (9x12 recommended)

      • A few of your favorite acrylic paint colors ( I will have paint available as well)

      • Fun found objects (nothing sharp)

      • Stencils or specialty papers you’d like to try
