Relief Printmaking (Adults/ Session 2)

Class | Available

Relief printing is one of the earliest printmaking techniques.
In this four-week class students will learn how to design, carve and print linoleum and wood prints, printing by hand and with a press. Students will learn single and multi layered prints. With the skills learned, participants will be able to continue printing at home with no special equipment.

No experience necessary and no drawing skills required.
Beginners welcome, as well as those with experience in the medium; each student will receive individual attention at his or her level.

Each Session is an independent class. Sign up for 1, 2 or both for a more indepth look at relief printmaking.

  • Lino cutting tools. A basic set like the Speedball Linoleum Cutter set is a good starter set.

Black relief printing ink is provided . Add’l inks can be purchased after we discuss the correct types of ink we use during 1st class.
