Creativity is for Everyone
A Mindfulness & Creativity Workshop Series
Dare to Create shows participants how to make room for creativity in ordinary life and the magic that happens when we do. It provides tools and skills to express the artist within to provide joyful release for mind, heart and body. The instructor is an artist and coach of many years. She teaches practical, effective and fun ways to unlock the creative voice within, with gently guided, intuitive art activities. No experience necessary!
Each workshop students learn how to playfully release the inner artist with gently guided activities, such as intuitive painting, collaging, writing, drawing, and more. Everyone experiences a sense of renewed strength, purpose, and a feeling of gratefulness for the magic that happens in the company of like-minded people. As one participant shared: “It is not therapy, but Dare to Create is definitely therapeutic!”
Each workshop contains four distinct areas:
1. Beginning --- it begins with a short centering practice so everyone can experience what it means to see with fresh eyes and engage with an open heart.
2. Discovery – with a thematic prompt, the workshop continues with intuitive and non-judging drawing, writing, painting, activities on a journey of playful discovery.
3. Clarity - the deeper participants get involved in joyful, fun and carefree art activities, the more clarity arises from intuitive images, words, and colors chosen with the open heart, rather than the judging mind.
4. Reflection – each workshop ends with a sharing of our creative objects and a comparison of “before and after” mind state as is comfortable for each person and a short grounding mindfulness exercise.
Join us and watch how to bring forth the joyful artist, and all around loving and beloved hero of your own life story.
