Access your Inner Child and enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon suitable for all levels. We will start with a brief intro paint-along of various creative techniques followed by painting in an unstructured free spirit style of your choice. Play with patterns, abstract visions, favorite colors, or be inspired by photos provided or bring your own for reference. Instructor guidance provided throughout.

  • $5.00 cash only fee payable to Instructor for 2 sheets of 9” X 12” ARCHES Watercolor Block HOT Press 140 lb. sheets from block, or bring your own 140 lb., Hot Press paper. Additional single sheet $2.50.


  • Bring supplies you have and/or paint colors you like being sure to have paints and at least one brush.


  • 2 jars for water

  • Ruler, pencil, note pad.

  • Paper Towels


  • Reference Photos for inspiration - sunsets, flowers, seascapes, landscapes, abstracts, etc.

  • BEGINNERS / CASUAL Painters:

  • *Prang Semi-Moist Watercolor Pans - Square (or Oval), Assorted,

  • Set of 8 Colors (basic brush included $ 5.47 BLICK.com

  • OR Set of 16 colors (basic brush included - BLICK.com $9.65

  • *Not PRANG Washable Watercolor Pans, they are for kids


  • Optional small brush for details, select from pointed rounds Cotman

  • (student grade) by Winsor-Newton


  • DEDICATED / EXPERIENCED painters:

  • Bring your own paints and brushes or choose Professional Artist’s

  • grade (Daniel Smith or Winsor-Newton Artist’s Professional pans or

  • tubes in your preferred assortment of colors.


  • Brushes:

  • Otherwise, Winsor-Newton Artist’s Sables are very good.
