Composition has a huge impact on photography. During this five-week workshop, we will explore different rules for composing subjects in order to create compelling photographs. When to use them and when not to use them. You will learn how different camera settings will have an impact on composition. Part of this workshop will be devoted to night photography.
There will be three classroom sessions to review various composing concepts. In addition to assignments on your own, there will be two hands-on field sessions to create compositions at nearby locations. The day field trip will be at Graffiti pier in Philadelphia. The night field trip will be at a nearby location.
This workshop is intended for photography enthusiasts at all levels with all levels of equipment, DSLR cameras are recommended.
Instructor: Gary Altoonian of Altoonian Photography began his photographic journey in the late 1960s while serving in the US Navy. His passion for photography has grown ever since. After a 40-year civil engineering and construction career, in 2013, his passion for photography became his next career move. His photography services include headshots, Groupless Groupshots®, family and pet portraits, architecture, events, intimate weddings, marriage proposals, fine art among others. He has enrolled in many photography workshops that have supplemented being self-taught.
