Join us for an action packed week of musical fun during February vacation! Children, ages 5-10, will explore the world of music through singing, imaginative storytelling, rhythmic games and creative movement. Along with daily crafts and free play, it’s sure to be a great vacation week! We invite you to a family & friends showcase at the end of the week to see what your children have been working on.
- Morning snack will be provided; students are responsible for bringing their own lunch.
Instructor -- Lauren Cook
Lauren Cook is an increasingly in demand soprano in the Boston and Metrowest areas, having appeared regionally with Opera del West, Greater Worcester Opera, Riverside Theatre Works, and the New England Conservatory Summer Opera Studio. Her roles and scene work include Meg’s Spirit /Quartet (Mark Adamo’s Little Women), Ida (cover, Die Fledermaus), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Sister Constance (Dialogues of the Carmelites), Frasquita (Carmen), Ilia (Idomeneo), and Adina (L’elisir d’amore). As an experienced performer of art song, Ms. Cook was chosen to participate in the prestigious SongFest program in 2009, where she sang in a number of master classes lead by renowned vocal coach Martin Katz. Equally at ease behind the stage, Lauren is a much sough after stage manager, concert manager, and educator. She is a certified and licensed Muskigarten teacher and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance, summa cum laude, from Anna Maria College. She is a student of Janice Giampa.
