Join us for a hands-on introduction to the harp, a perfect Mother's day weekend activity! Participants will be able to sit-down at a harp, learn a basic song and discuss all things Harp with facilitator Mary Jane Rupert. All ages welcome, instrument provided.
- If you have you own harp - feel free to bring it, otherwise an instrument will be provided for you.
Instructor -- Mary Jane Rupert
Acclaimed as concert pianist and harpist, Mary Jane has performed throughout the world from Carnegie Hall to Beijing, and has appeared with orchestras and chamber groups across the U.S. She performed as a soloist at the American Harp Society's National Convention (1994), has recorded under the North Star and Harmony Hill labels, and has published duets for harp and flute. Former teaching positions at Oberlin, Indiana, Western Michigan University, and Walnut Hill. Faculty: Tufts University, Wellesley College, Boston College, MIT.
